Contraindications
Trexo Plus is not indicated for pediatric patients presenting with the following:
- -Knee flexion contracture > 30°
- -Severe knee valgus that cannot be corrected
- -Hip flexion contracture (unable to obtain hip neutral of 0°)
- -Severe spasticity (Ashworth 4)
- -Weight-bearing restrictions (recent orthopaedic surgery, concerns of hip subluxation)
- -History or suspicion of lower-limb fragility fracture (Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Osteoporosis, Osteopenia)
- -Patient unable to communicate discomfort or pain (including non-verbal cues)
Annual re-evaluation by the primary care physician and/or PT/OT is required to confirm ongoing appropriateness.
Indication of use
The Trexo is a powered ambulatory device intended to support walking among individuals with disabilities and weakness. The device is intended to be used in a home or clinic setting, to assist in a user's mobility, in general wheelchair accessible areas.
